ABOUT THE CHEF
Let's introduce the Chef.
Joelene Roca is a Belizean American who is 26 years old. She resides in the East New York area of Brooklyn. She is the only girl of 3 brothers.
She has always had a passion for cooking. It all started when she was a little girl and her mother Mrs. Sharon Roca would always make sure she was in the kitchen to observe what she was preparing for dinner and lunch.

Although, at such a young age, it may have been a lot to take in at the moment, the lessons her mom shared with her, stayed with her throughout her young years leading into her adulthood. Everyday, Joelene would be in the kitchen preparing a meal whether it be breakfast, brunch or dinner. As the Chef she has always envisioned to be, her food has never failed anyone! Everyone was just so astonished to see that her food tasted similar to her mom yet unique, different and so delicious. You can tell from her time and dedication this is what she wanted to do.
Every lesson that was taught to her by her mom, has somehow always been stored and never forgotten.
However, being from a Caribbean country, "Belize", Joelene wanted to be able to learn how to make a wide range of different cultural dishes not just Belizean food. She wanted to be able to learn about the foods of other countries.
Every day is a new cooking journey for Joelene. She loves everything about the kitchen and admires mastering new dishes.

Joelene plans to expand her cooking business in the cooking industry by showing the world her cooking skills and talents.
Josie's Belizean Trini Flavas provides delicious gourmet meals, catering services as well as take out services in the Brooklyn, East New York Area.
Nevertheless, Joelene cooks from the heart and as the saying goes, "Cooking with love provides food for the soul."
